Traveling alone as a woman - biographies of traveling women


The traveling woman - a business model?! In this lecture biographies of women in the travel literature industry will be presented. The speaker will look at the field of work and life of women authors and show how they became successful businesswomen. The lecture will feature several women who have gone on tour for different reasons. Two traveling women from Magdeburg will also be introduced.

Cornelia Reinhold's guest lecture will take place as part of my seminar "Education & Biography" on Dec. 15 at 9:15-10:45 a.m. via Zoom. The talk is for anyone interested in biographies and travel literature.

Cornelia Reinholt works as a study program coordinator at the Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences and is active as a lecturer in adult education in the areas of body language & rhetoric, public relations, and experiential education. The studied social and health journalist (M.A.) is also active as an event manager and agent in the literature industry.  For almost three years she was the owner of the travel literature publishing house "traveldiary", which had almost sixty authors under contract. Her dissertation project focuses on the life and work of female publishers and authors in the travel literature industry.
