Mentoring outside the OVGU

"Fast Track" Programme

This programme which was established by the Robert Bosch foundation, offers an intensive training for young junior academics in their post-doc stage. This year Fast Track addresses outstanding, interdisciplinary interested post-docs. Twenty excellent junior academics, who seek for a successful career in research within or outside the university, receive an individually fitted biennial promotion starting in autumn 2015. Besides the networking and the financial grant, the focus also lies on four challenging intensive seminars to gain social and leading competences which are relevant for the career.

The four multi-day intensive seminars deal with the following topics: “Successful presentations in academic activities”; “Safe application, implementation and negotiation”; “Effective leadership in academic activities”; “Media training”.

The junior academics receive an additional financial grant in the amount of 2.400 € over a period of two years (100€ per month). This amount can be used for career-enhancing steps such as personal coaching, language courses or the participation in academic conferences.

You can find the entire information about the requirements for the applicants as well as the further application procedure on the internet at www.bosch-stiftung.de/fasttrack.

Deadline for the applications is the 23th of Februrary 2015.

As a professionally experienced academic you have the opportunity to be registered and become a Mentor in your subject.
